  Laboratory Animal Unit

The CRI LAU has primary responsibility for the implementation of the Animal Care and Use Program at CRI. The LAU provides:

  1. Laboratory animal management and husbandry.
  2. Veterinary preventive medicine and medical care.
  3. Consultation pertaining to animal care and use, as well as veterinary medical issues in protocol development.
  4. Support for compliance with animal use protocols carried out in LAU facilities.
  5. Training in the care and use of laboratory animals.
  6. Adequate veterinary care and oversight for anesthesia, analgesia, and euthanasia.
  7. Reporting of requirements to the Institute Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC).

  CRI's Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee(s) (IACUC)

CRI's IACUC is the oversight body for monitoring and enforcing all animal care and use activities in accordance with the "Ethical Principles and Guidelines for the Use of Animals for Scientific Purposes, The National Research Council of Thailand, Ministry of Science and Technology".
